Hahai nō ka ua i ka ulu lāʻau is translated into, the rain always follow after the forests. The ahupuaʻa of Waiākea was known for its fertile land and abundance of water. In an effort to sustain our ahupuaʻa, our community collaborates to educate our next generation about our place. By planting our studentsʻ roots deep, they will grow. The ʻuluau (Waiākea wind) and ʻaʻala hōnua (Waiākea rain) will return and replenish our community.
